Get to know me!

Hi there! I'm Anjuli Fink, a first-year law student at Harvard Law School. Prior to law school, I worked at CBS Media Ventures where I built upon my skills and interests in the entertainment field and developed a desire to tackle legal issues affecting the creative industry. I am grateful for my expansive experiences in media thus far, interning for both network and affiliate news, feature shows, podcasts and more. At Harvard Law School and beyond, I look forward to being at the forefront of a changing legal landscape as it adapts to the evolving role of technology and media in our lives.

In addition to being a Legally Blonde fanatic, my friends will say I'm a big music-lover and an even bigger animal-lover, so big that I will go to great lengths to save just about any animal in the world no matter how big or small. I am also a former pageant queen and dancer. I was Miss San Antonio Texas Teen 2017 and Miss Austin Texas Teen 2018, and I've studied Classical Indian Dance (Bharatanatyam) and Bollywood since the age of three. I completed my Arangetram (solo dance debut and graduation performance) the summer before my freshman year of college. The entire performance took about four hours and represented a culmination of all my training over the years and my immense love of the art form. To this day, I continue to challenge myself. I moved to attend school in New York and then spent a semester studying and working in D.C., where I became more directly involved in social justice and advocacy work. My love for speaking and writing has allowed me to pursue a wide range of interests in law, journalism, public relations, politics, nonprofit, and more. I hope to use my talents to make a positive impact in this world.

Work Experience

Work Experience

2022

Story Coordinator for Inside Edition, CBS Media Ventures, New York, New York

As a story coordinator for the syndicated newsmagazine, Inside Edition, I established client and agency relations by working closely with relevant parties to organize media appearances on time-sensitive deadlines. I contacted, pre-interviewed, and booked persons of interest for shows, researched and vetted information for stories and gathered corresponding visual elements. Executives prided me on my story ideas during pitch meetings and often adopted them for the show!

2019 - 2021

Research Assistant for the Motivation & Goal Pursuit Lab at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY

As a research assistant for the Motivation & Goal Pursuit Lab, I worked alongside a diverse group of researchers coding and analyzing articles and data to better understand how the interaction between people's social environments and personalities affect their level of motivation to pursue goals and their success in achieving goal pursuits. I was particularly interested in researching how social inequalities and stereotype threat relate to goal motivation and achievement in various domains, and had the opportunity to work on two research projects where we delved into these concepts more closely. Through this process, I became proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Spreadsheets, Excel, Slack and PowerPoint.

Fall 2019

Intern for CBS Evening and Weekend News, Washington, D.C.

During the 2019 fall semester, I interned for CBS News in Washington, D.C., where I reported in a mock news broadcast at the White House and gained experience in the fast-paced news industry. As an intern for CBS, I frequently logged press conferences and congressional briefings, shadowed reporters at the White House and had the opportunity to interview and write reports of congresspeople on Capitol Hill. I also received a lot of direct hands-on experience: I attended many field shoots, worked one-on-one with editors, prepped and pre-interviewed guests, selected footage and even produced a segment for the weekend news show.

Summer 2019

Intern for SA Live, San Antonio, Texas

In the summer of 2019, I interned for local ABC affiliate, KSAT, in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas, where I produced and reported in two broadcast segments that aired on the live daily variety and feature show, SA Live. I also gained experience writing articles for their website, filming and producing segments for the show and booking and interviewing guests. In addition, I often worked cameras during the live show, assisted with video shoots, edited segments, wrote scripts and pitched ideas for the show.

Spring 2019

Bumble's Campus Marketing Director, Ithaca, NY

As the campus director for Bumble, I gained experience in event planning and coordination, and effectively led a team of strong-minded women to fight for women’s rights and empowerment on Cornell’s campus. I learned a lot about advertising and marketing, publicity and public relations and team management and communication.

2018 - 2019

Intern for Thrive LOUD with Lou Diamond, Ithaca, NY

As an intern for the podcast, Thrive LOUD, I recorded many voiceovers, edited various episodes and managed the organization’s social media accounts. Through this experience, I learned a great deal about the podcast industry as I worked closely with aspects of marketing, production, publicity and management.
